Deep Dish Pizza Casserole

6 points per serving | serves 6

Preheat to 425°

 

1 pound ground round

1 can chunky Italian Style tomato sauce

cooking spray

10 oz refrigerated pizza crust dough

1 1/2 c (6 oz.) shredded part skim mozzarella

any kind of 0 point topping (like veggies)

 

Spread dough on 13 x 9 pan sprayed w/cooking spray and push up on all sides
to make it deep dish (to later hold all ingredients) bake uncovered about 5 minutes;
meanwhile cook and drain meat; add sauce till heated; add mixture to crust
after 5 min. and cook additional 7 minutes; top with cheese and any other goodies
and bake an additional 5 minutes till cheese is melted.

Cool 5 minutes.

Original recipe from WW, I adapted a little by adding Turkey Pepperoni (found at Shnucks
and sometimes Buy Low) make sure to add 1 point for every 17 pepperoni's. Original recipe
says to cook dough and mixture together 12 minutes then an addt'l 5 minutes for cheese but
that left my dough too soggy so I adapted and cooked dough a little first.

This is very good and filling with a nice salad. Surprising decent size piece.
